Detroit Labor Day Parade with MEA
Lori marched in the Detroit Labor Day parade with her fellow Michigan Education Association (MEA) and Fitzgerald Educational Associate union members. She enjoyed standing with union sisters and brothers to demonstrate the role unions play in creating and maintaining the middle class through collective bargaining.

Lori Earned the Democratic Party Nomination During the Primary Election
I am proud of my success in the 2018 primary election. This campaign was a true grassroots effort. I am thankful for all my volunteers, contributors, and supporters. Thank you to all my family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, students, and all community members that believe I am the State Representative that will best represent them. I am excited about the next steps leading up to the November General Election. I will need your continued support!

As a progressive Democratic candidate, I’m proud to announce that the members of Macomb for Revolution have voted to endorse my candidacy for State House of Representatives. The local chapter of Michigan for Revolution works to make government more reflective and responsive to citizens by supporting progressive issues, causes, and candidates. By running a grassroots campaign supported by friends, family, coworkers, and community, I am also committed to advocating for public education, workers, women, and other issues that affect us.

Lori was recognized by Moms Demand Action with a Gun Sense Candidate Distinction. As a teacher, Lori works every day to keep students and schools safe. As your State Representative, she will continue to work to keep students and schools safe with common sense legislation.

Help reach out to likely primary voters at the polls on Tuesday. Come spend a couple hours passing out fliers to voters as they leave the polls. Emerge Michigan Boot Camp
Lori was one of a select group of Democratic women candidates to participate in a development program in Lansing, MI. Emerge prepares candidates to run successful campaigns as well as provide leadership in communities and government.

Michigan Political Leadership Program
Lori completed the Michigan Political Leadership Program for 2017. MPLP at MSU is a bi-partisan program developing candidates committed to community service, engages them in public policy and leadership curriculum. This includes exploring issues affecting Michigan.

March with me in Lansing. Michiganders will unite one year later at the steps of the state Capitol to celebrate the strides we've made so far and make plans to build our future. Women make up less than 25% of Michigan's legislature. In order for women to be represented in policies, we must run for office.
